The purpose of the Acadia Sports Hall of Fame is to recognize those individuals who have made a significant contribution to the athletic program at Acadia University and who, as a result of their contribution, have enhanced the image and reputation of the University. While at BU and a women's basketball star, she led the country in scoring and graduated as the top BBA student.

This award is presented to the outstanding female student-athlete who is competing in her first year of CIS and/or conference eligibility in a varsity sport. The student-athlete must be 21 years old or younger as of Jan. 1 during the competitive year. The recipient must have made a strong contribution to her team's success and be in good academic standing.

The trophy is awarded annually to a male and female student—across both Varsity Clubs and Varsity Teams—who have made the most significant contribution to inter-university athletics in their first year as a Queen's Gael.

The President's Award is presented to student-athlete who best represents the combination of above-average academic and athletic performance during his or her career at the University of Regina. A minimum cumulative GPA of 70%, evidence of superior athletic achievement, and leadership are required criteria. The President's Award is given to an athlete in their fourth or fifth year of eligibility. The athlete must have represented the U of R in competition in both the fall and winter semesters of the past season (with the exception of football and soccer).

The University of Regina Female Athlete of the Year is awarded to the student-athlete with a minimum cumulative GPA of 60% that best demonstrates outstanding athletic ability and leadership during the season. The athlete must have represented the U of R in competition in both the fall and winter semesters of the past season (with the exception of soccer).

- H.H. Kerr Trophy (Ryerson Female Athlete of the Year)
Dr. Kerr was the founder of Ryerson and its first Principal. As the head of Ryerson for eighteen years, 1948-1966, he was instrumental in establishing athletics and recreation as an important part of a Ryerson student's overall education. His trophy presented in 1953, is awarded annually to the outstanding female athlete. Dr. Kerr was a charter member (1964) of the Board of Trustees of the Ontario Science Centre whose original planning meetings were held at Ryerson and he was the original chairman of the new College of applied Arts and Technology (1968-1970) when the first twenty community colleges were established.

The Mary Cartwright trophy is dedicated to the founder of the School of Physical Education at the University of Saskatchewan. Mary Cartwright was instrumental in the establishment of the women's recreation board on campus - today known as Campus Recreation.
- Valerie Girsberger Trophy All-Round Female Athlete
Valerie Girsberger was an accomplished student - graduating with a Bachelor's in both Science and Physical Education. She added a Masters in Physical Education. She was a member of the basketball and field hockey teams. Just six weeks after starting a teaching job at the University of Manitoba, she was killed in a car accident. The award is given to an upper year female student-athlete who during her entire career best combines the qualities of leadership, sportsmanship, academic ability and athletic prowess.
- Patricia Lawson Trophy Female Rookie of the Year
Patricia Lawson is considered as one of the greatest female athletes to ever don a Huskie uniform. She competed with track & field, swimming, basketball and tennis. She also held the post of Women's Athletic Director and the coach of the women's basketball team for eight seasons.
- Colb McEwon Trophy Coach of the Year
Colb McEwon was a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, who began with athletics on campus as the 1932 men's basketball coach. While in the position, he led the Huskies to eight straight Western Intercollegiate Championships. He was also the driving force behind the building of the on-campus curling rink and in the establishment of the Saskatoon Hilltops football club.

The St. Francis Xavier University Sports Hall of Fame was founded in 1976 and exists to honour those individuals who have contributed significantly to StFX sports as athletes, teams, or as builders. Those chosen inductees have exemplified the spirit and ideals of Xaverian athletics in their professional and community lives.

- May Brown Trophy - UBC Graduating Female Athlete
A UBC coach, teacher and supporter of athletics, May Brown was an advocate and force in the UBC sporting world, most notably with women's field hockey and synchronized swimming. In the later decades, through her career as a politician, she found time to serve Athletics in an advisory capacity. Among her honours include the Order of British Columbia and the Order of Canada. Created in 2007, this award honours UBC's outstanding graduating female athlete, taking into consideration career achievement and contribution at UBC, in addition to performance during the current season.
- Marilyn Pomfret Trophy - UBC Female Athlete of the Year
Awarded to the year's female athlete who has distinguished herself in university, national or international competition, exhibited sportsmanship and who, according to her peers, has contributed significantly to her team. This trophy, formerly the Sparling Trophy, was re-named The Marilyn Pomfret Trophy in 1984, in honour of the popular UBC athlete, teacher, coach and Director of Women's Athletics.

- Colin B. Mackay Shield - UNB Female Athlete of the Year
Awarded to the top female athlete, it was donated in 1965 by Patricia Pickard, 1965 alumna. In 1974, the Board of Governors named the award after the former university president. The shield is presented to an outstanding female athlete who has demonstrated excellent leadership, a positive attitude and great skill during the past season.

- Garnet Copeland Award - UNB Top All-Round Student Athlete
The Garnet Copeland Medal, formerly the Kenneth Corbett Medal, was donated to UNB in 1954 by alumna Dr. Garnet Copeland. This award is bestowed upon the year's top all-round student athlete, taking into consideration the individual has shown excellence as an athlete, is a good citizen in the community, and is outstanding in a minimum of one varsity sport.

The James Born Award, named for the former Athletic Director, is presented to an individual who makes considerable contributions to the Reds athletic program. The recipient of this award could be an assistant coach, administrator, volunteer or supporter.

This award, first presented in 2018, is awarded annually to the Reds coach of the year, as determined by the Dean of Kinesiology in conjunction with the Director of Athletics.

These awards are presented by the UPEI Student Union to varsity team student-athletes who made a contribution to student leadership on their team and on campus. The late John Thomas (Mickey) Place was a Student Union employee who was connected not only with UPEI athletics, but also with other aspects of campus life. These awards are given in his memory.

Purple blankets are presented to student-athletes, usually in their graduating year. Winners are based on their academic and athletic achievements and must have participated in athletics for a minimum of three years and must have earned a minimum of three first colours.

The F.W.P. Jones Trophy is presented to the Western female student athlete who, in the opinion of the Selection Committee has made the greatest contribution to Intercollegiate Athletics within the University.
